چکیده

where the field strength F a μν = ∂μA a ν − ∂νA a μ + gfAμA c ν , z = y− x and P denotes path ordering of the exponential. In general, the gauge invariant field strength correlator could be defined with an arbitrary gauge string connecting the end points x and y, but in this work we shall restrict ourselves to a straight line. It is the basic ingredient in the stochastic model of the QCD vacuum [1,2] and in the description of high energy hadron-hadron scattering [3–6]. In the spectrum of heavy quark bound states it governs the effect of the gluon condensate on the level splittings [7–10] and it is useful for the determination of the spin dependent parts in the heavy quark potential [11,12]. The correlator can be related to a correlator of a colour singlet current composed of a (fictitious) infinitely heavy octet quark and the gluon field

QCD sum rule analysis of the field strength correlator

The gauge invariant two-point correlator for the gluon field strength tensor is analysed by means of the QCD sum rule method. To this end, we make use of a relation of this correlator to a two-point function for a quark-gluon hybrid in the limit of the quark mass going to infinity. From the sum rules a relation between the gluon correlation length and the gluon condensate is obtained. We briefl...

The gauge invariant quark correlator in QCD sum rules and lattice QCD

Taking the gauge invariant quark correlator as an example, in this work we perform a direct comparison of lattice QCD simulations with the QCD sum rule approach. The quark correlator is first investigated in the framework of QCD sum rules and the correlation length of the quark field is calculated. Comparing the phenomenological part of the sum rule with previous measurements of the quark corre...

New QCD Sum Rules for Nucleon Tensor Charge∗

Two new QCD sum rules for nucleon tensor charge are derived from a mixed correlator of spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 nucleon interpolating fields. These sum rules are analyzed along with a sum rule obtained from the usual correlator of a general spin-1/2 nucleon interpolating field. The validity and reliability of the sum rules are examined by monitoring the contaminations arising from the transitions ...

On Qcd Sum Rules for Vector Mesons in Nuclear Medium *

Vector mesons show up in the electromagnetic current-current correlator. QCD sum rules provide a constraint on hadronic models for this correlator. This constraint is discussed for the case of finite nuclear density concerning the longitudinal as well as the transverse part of the current-current correlator at finite three-momentum. The Mixed-Isospin Vector Current Correlator in Chiral Perturbation Theory and QCD Sum Rules ADP-95-20/T179 hep-ph/9504237

The mixed-isospin vector current correlator, 〈0|T (V ρ μ V ω ν )|0〉 is evaluated using both QCD sum rules and Chiral Perturbation Theory (ChPT) to one-loop order. The sum rule treatment is a modification of previous analyses necessitated by the observation that those analyses produce forms of the correlator that fail to be dominated, near q2 = 0, by the most nearby singularities. Inclusion of c...
